Hi Sarah Welcome to Global Entertainment Mag.

Sarah I couldn’t believe it at first until I saw the videos of Moneymaker Live, the press wasn’t kidding when they say the band jumps out at the listener wow. And yes I do have some favorites “Blues is my Business” and “Shake Your Money Maker”.

Yeah we have so much fun on stage. We're all great friends.

Will these become singles that fans can buy off iTunes soon? yes

Is the band working on a full length EP currently?

We're in the final stages of recording our debut album. We're hoping for a release in early 2011. It has a few originals and some old classics such as Thrill is Gone and Mojo Working. We're very excited about it.

Does Moneymaker record, mix and master their music live or individually in the studio?

The album is a studio album.

How did the band members meet and do they share the same influences for their music?

Pete and I know each other from meeting a few years back at an audition for a blues band that didn't work out. Ian got drafted in from an internet advert and Rob, well Rob... I put an advert out for a bassist and found the love of my life!

As a live act Moneymaker has the unique talent and magic tearing up any stage also delivering great entertaining blues in your face sound to their audience.

Oh yes, quite often, Pete and I end up taking solos whilst standing on the bar.... Thank goodness for wireless microphones!

Has the band had the opportunity to open up for or tour with other bands around the U.K. and Europe?

We supported the great Tommy Castro on part of his UK tour earlier this year. We've also had the opportunity to play with Stan Webb. We're a relatively new band, so we're still finding our feet.

Has the band been offered any record deals and what do they seek in a record label?

We haven't ... but then everyone we've spoken to wants to hear the album...so I guess we get that finished and then see what happens. We just love to gig, so if anyone wants to take on a very hardworking band who wants to be on stage as much as possible then we're your guys!

Sarah curious how long have you been a singing and playing multiple instruments’?

I took up the clarinet when I was 7...

Did you receive any training for your music in vocals or instruments?

I went through all the grades on the clarinet before making the (relatively easy) switch to the sax. I trained at London University to be a Speech Therapist, but decided the knowledge would be better placed by singing and teaching singing.

Can you tell us about your project “Something Blue?”

Something Blue is an Acoustic Duo that Rob and I do to pay the rent! We do some Moneymaker songs in it, but it's mostly well known covers. It's dual vocals, acoustic guitar and sax.

Who has been the most influential person in your life that supported you in your music?

My sax teacher. It was him that suggested I join a band and teach sax. Meeting him changed my life.

When it comes to writing music what do you express the most in song themes are they issues that come from social everyday life or something that inspires you?

I tend to wake up at 3AM with something in my "creative in tray". Very often I just wake up and can hear the whole song. I have a pen and paper by the side of the bed and scribble down ideas and then flesh them out in the morning.

Are you still entering songwriting contests in the UK?

Not recently, but I'm sure I will

Can you tell us about your projects or collaborations with other well known Artist like Tommy Castro, Otis Grand, Bad Manners, Paulo Nutini, Fairport Convention, Van Tramp, and Ron Trueman-Border?

Paulo Nutini turned up to a gig I was playing at the Borderline in London a few years ago. He was there in secret and ended up supporting us!!

As a teacher of music, what advice can you provide to students wanting to form their own bands for the first time?

Have fun with it and don't listen to anyone that says you can't make a career out of it!

What are your hopes or things you want to accomplish within the next 3 to five years with your current projects?

I want Moneymaker to reach the level that I know we're capable of. To be honest, what we really need is Management... we're all far too busy concentrating on the music to be out there booking gigs!!

Thank you Sarah, for taking the time to complete our interview questions with Global Entertainment Mag. I hope to see Moneymaker tearing up the stages on a North American tour in the near future.

Thank you Tina... We hope so too!!
